Make AI answers legible.
Buyers increasingly ask an assistant before they visit a website. We build the tools that show what those assistants say, where it comes from and what to do next.
Every answer has a source. We follow it to the root.
“Cite” is what an assistant does when it points to a page. “Root” is where the answer really comes from: the sites, publishers and communities that shaped it. The usual landmarks (rankings, links, clicks) say less than they used to; which sources the assistants choose to lean on says more.
Our job is to record what the assistants say, trace each answer back to its roots and help you strengthen the ones that matter: measure, trace, act.
MEASURE · TRACE · ACT
Four principles.
Evidence over adjectives
Every number opens the answer behind it. We’d rather show you a recorded answer than a confident score.
Say what we don’t know
No tool can prove a change caused a gain, or guarantee a citation. We say so, and design around it.
Humans decide
Citeroot prepares drafts and reports. People approve. Nothing is published or changed on your behalf.
Leave the trail marked
Good documentation, honest changelogs and sources on every claim — for customers and for the engines that read us.
Small team, careful claims.
We’re a new company. We publish our methods, list our subprocessors and keep our changelog and our “coming soon” labels honest.
Research in public
Guides and notes carry sources and a reviewed date. If we ran a test, we publish the method.
